Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy Review

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy for Nintendo Switch offers an exciting legal adventure. The game is set seven years after the original game and introduces Apollo Justice, a new lawyer who possesses a magical bracelet that can help spot lies in court. The first game had a dark twist, with Phoenix Wright being accused of murder. The second game in the trilogy, Dual Destinies, brought a visual upgrade with 3D characters and exciting cases, although some felt a little sidelined.

The final game, Soul of Justice, takes place in a new country and explores deep themes of religion and politics. It cleverly tells the story in two places at once, giving Apollo and Phoenix their moments. These games have improved visuals and features such as annotations system and useful options.

While it drops off a bit in the middle and the tutorial for new character Athena can be a bit much, the trilogy offers a rich experience and engaging story that make it a worthy follow-up to the original Ace Attorney games. If you like a combination of clever courtroom drama and quirky characters, this remake trilogy is well worth checking out.
