“Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier” is an action-adventure game set in an open world, inspired by the “Avatar” film series. The game, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, will be released on December 7, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S. This release marks the second video game in the Avatar series, following the earlier Avatar: The Game from 2009. Upon the game’s release, initial reviews from critics were mixed.
How to destroy generators and cooling units in Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier
In Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier, players face new challenges as they progress, with the “Welcome to the Resistance” mission introducing the System Interrogation Device (SID). This device helps repair damaged frequencies and hack enemy installations.
To destroy the generator in the Aero Tower Echo, use Na’vi Senses to locate the target. Go east to find the yellow generator and break it with your bow.
For cooling units in the middle area, go to the frequency room on the upper floor. Use the SID to crack it. Find the red rotating fan on the lower level and shoot an arrow to detonate it, destroying the cooling unit.

After destroying the cooling unit, a new mission appears to be destroying emergency flares. Find it on top of the drill and open it to breathe fire. Wait for it to open the door, then shoot an arrow inside to destroy it. This completes the objective in the “Welcome to the Resistance” mission.

In Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier, the “Welcome to the Resistance” mission is part of the main storyline. To activate this mission, players simply need to follow the main story. Solek advises the protagonists to find the Resistance camp, as they need aid in their fight against the RDA.
Find the Resistance HQ at the top of the waterfall and approach Solek to trigger the next step. Talk to various characters to receive new armor from Raj. Follow Teylan to maintenance, where players learn to use a SID (System Interrogation Device), a gun-looking tool that can help locate frequencies to repair or hack certain compartments.

Since the area is surrounded by many enemies, it is recommended to take them out before destroying the RDA facility. This will advance the “Welcome to the Resistance” mission in Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier.

Players take on the role of a Na’vi, exploring the planet Pandora, healing wildlife, and helping the planet’s inhabitants. The game allows exploration on foot, riding a dire horse, or flying on a Banshee/Ikran. Equipped with Na’vi weapons or captured RDA troop gear, players can choose from stealth, direct attack, or hybrid attacks. An in-depth skill system lets you customize your Na’vi’s abilities, emphasizing player agency and blending FPS and open-world RPG elements.

In “Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier”, the player plays a Na’vi orphan who is trained by the Resource Development Administration (RDA) to become a soldier. After waking up fifteen years later in an abandoned facility, players embark on a journey through the Western Frontier, a new area on the planet Pandora. As they uncover their past, players must unite with the local Na’vi tribe to resist the RDA’s plunder of the region’s natural resources. The story is partly related to the movie and is independent, and the game uses a 2-player cooperative multiplayer mode.
