How to Get Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk?

What are Porygon, Porygon2 and Porygon-Z in Pokemon Red, Purple and Blue?

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk, Porygon and its evolved forms Porygon2 and Porygon-Z were introduced as iconic Pokemon. While you can find Polyceratops in the Blueberry Academy Terrarium, obtaining its evolved form requires some effort.

To evolve them, you need to have a Pokémon holding a specific item and then trade it with other players. Despite the challenges, getting Porygon-Z, the final evolution of this Normal-type Pokémon, is considered worthwhile as it is considered a useful and powerful option in the late game. This guide is designed to help players understand the process of obtaining Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to get Porygon, Porygon2 and Porygon-Z in Pokemon Scarlet and Purple Indigo Disks?

To find Porygon in Pokemon Scarlet and Indigo, head to the Arctic biome in the northeast. Look for ice fields where Porygon is common. It has a high catch rate, so you won’t need a lot of Poke Balls.

However, you won’t find Porygon2 or Porygon-Z in the wild. In order to obtain them, you need to evolve Porygon. That’s it:

  • Evolve Porygon into Porygon2:

    • Obtain upgrade items. Find it in the wild (especially in or near the Polar biome), or buy it from the Blueberry Academy school store for 250 Blueberry Points.
    • Have Porygon hold the upgrade item.
    • Trade Porygon with other players to trigger evolution into Porygon2.
    • Remember to change Porygon2 back.
  • Evolve Porygon2 into Porygon-Z:

    • Get the suspicious disc. Find it in the wild or buy it from the Blueberry Academy store for 250 Blueberry Points.
    • Let Porygon2 hold the suspicious disk.
    • Trade Porygon2 with other players to trigger evolution into Porygon-Z.
    • Again, remember to swap the Porygon-Z back.
