Devil Lovers is a Japanese visual novel series created by Rejet. The first game was originally released in October 2012 on the PlayStation Portable system. Over time, the team grew in size, playing a total of seven games. The first two games were later remastered for the PlayStation Vita and released as “Limited V Editions”. Part Seven launched in March 2019 and is playable on Nintendo Switch.

The success of “Devil Lovers” spawned two animated adaptations, both consisting of 12 episodes. The first part was broadcast from September to December 2013, and the second part was broadcast from September 2015 to December 2015. In the world of “Diabolik Lovers”, players play the role of Yui Komori (default name: Yui), who can choose from a variety of male characters to become her lover. Each playable character’s storyline is divided into three distinct parts: Darkness, Madness, and Rapture. Within these sections, there is a prologue, ten bars, and an epilogue, creating a comprehensive narrative experience. Each character’s path can lead to one of three possible endings based on the player’s choices.
The series originally debuted on the PSP, but as it progressed the games transitioned to PS Vita and PS TV formats, with the first two games being adapted for those platforms. In 2017, the first three games are planned to be released on PlayStation 4. Subsequently, in 2018, a new game called “Diabolik Lovers: Chaos Lineage” was launched and launched in March 2019, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch platform.

The protagonist Xiaomori started out as an ordinary female high school student until her pastor father went abroad to work. As a result, Yui moved to a new town and arrived at the mansion designated as her new residence.
The strange thing is that no one greeted her, but the door opened by itself. Inside, Yui finds a striking young man sleeping on the couch with no heartbeat. To her surprise, he woke up, and gradually, five more young people appeared. Apparently, all six of them are siblings, born to three different mothers, and they were vampires from the start.
During a month of living with the Sakamaki family, Yui begins to experience unusual dreams and visions involving a mysterious figure known as “Eve.” The story takes a turn one day when, on the way to school, Yui and the brothers find themselves in a strange car accident, surrounded by flames.
The next day, four vampire brothers arrive at the mansion and kidnap Yui. This turn of events raises questions about the fate of the Sakamaki family and whether Yui will return to them. Unfolding in suspense, the story delves into the intricate interactions between Yui and her vampire brothers and the mystery surrounding her existence.
