The mission of the Lord of the Fallen Kongka

After helping Kukajin and returning her to her original form, she will express gratitude for your help. Notably, she will recognize your proficiency with magic, especially your use of radiant healing spells such as Cleansing Fountain or Divine. As a token of appreciation, she’ll reward you with a Hardened Pendant, an item she won from the dice game. Although Kukajin acknowledges your magical prowess, she has a distaste for magic and advises against using the lamp, even though its exact nature remains a mystery. Afterwards, she will instruct you to meet at Tianxi Bridge, where she will serve you.

Initially, Kukajin will not move, preventing access to items behind her. To retrieve it, rest at the nearby ruins, then return to obtain Wilmark’s Catalyst. Afterwards, return to Tianxi Bridge and you’ll find the Kongka Man in an alcove inside the bedroom near the main hall. During this encounter, she introduces herself as Venom Kukajin, a former member of one of the finest mercenary groups. While expressing her gratitude, she would emphasize that she would not risk her life in vain. She’ll propose a simple arrangement: she assists you in combat, and you make it up to her. This mutually beneficial understanding is crucial to maintaining a harmonious partnership.

With this agreement in place, Kukajin can now be summoned to aid in certain boss fights in Lords of the Fallen. If you keep your end of the bargain, cash the Kuka King invoice and pay as agreed, she will inform you that her time at Mornsted is over and she intends to move on. What’s unique here is that there are two worlds overlapping each other. One is called Axiom, where living things are; the other is Umbral, where the dead are. You can switch between these two worlds using a special lantern. Sometimes places that are inaccessible in one world are accessible in another.

If your character dies, they enter the Shadow World and you need to return to the Axiom World to regain the experience points you lost when you died. But if you die in the Umbra, you’ll be returned to your last save point and lose any experience points you haven’t used yet. Save points in each area are rare, but you can create your own by collecting materials from monsters in the Shadow World.
