Payday 3 is a new video game produced by Starbreeze Studios and published by Deep Silver. This is the third game in the “Payday” series after “Payday 2”. The game was released on September 21, 2023.

“Payday 3” continues the events of “Payday 2”. Original robbery gangs such as The Dallas, The Chains, The Wolves and The Hoxton have gone their separate ways and put their criminal lives behind them. However, something brings them back to the world of robbery. There are also two new characters, “Joy” from “Payday 2” and a brand new character named “Pearl”. Most of the action takes place in New York, with one mission set at the “Gold & Sharke Incorporated” bank. The time period of the game is the 2020s, and new elements such as advanced surveillance and the influence of cryptocurrency are introduced.

The development of the game was announced in May 2016 by Starbreeze Studios and produced by Overkill Software. In March 2021, Plaion committed a significant investment in supporting the game’s development, including updates a year and a half after launch. Payday 3 is built using Unreal Engine 4, but will be upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 later.

A trailer titled “New Dawn of Crime” was released on January 1, 2023, showing off the game for the first time. It’s worth noting that the console version will be identical to the PC version thanks to the Unreal Engine. In June 2023, the release date is confirmed to be September 21, 2023, with select pre-orders available for early access on September 18.

Payday 3: Starwind matchmaking issues fixed

Starbreeze, the developer of PayDay 3, has announced that they have successfully resolved a matchmaking issue that was causing problems for players. Currently, the matching system is stable and working well. They also plan to enhance commerce in Payday 3, including this month’s update, which brings over 200 quality-of-life improvements to all platforms.

In the coming months, players can expect more improvements, new content, and feature updates. Additionally, a DLC titled “Syntax Error” will be available for purchase in Winter 2023.

Starbreeze is also working on platform-specific updates to further enhance the game. Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sjögren thanked players for their patience and assured them that they are committed to making Payday 3 better over time.
