Ragnarok Origins Guide

Choosing the Right Class in Ragnarok Origin: A Guide

start:

Each player starts from the ordinary adventurer profession and has the basic skills to get started. During the level 10 tutorial, you can choose your first career change, which is an important decision since the game offers a variety of careers. Here is a brief description of each class and its basic role:

  1. Swordsman>Knight>Lord Knight (Tank, DPS)
  2. Acolyte>Priest>High Priest (Healer)
  3. Wizard > Wizard > High Wizard (DPS)
  4. Rogue>Assassin>Cross Assassin (DPS)
  5. Merchant > Blacksmith > Blacksmith (DPS, Merchant)
  6. Archer > Hunter > Sniper (DPS)

Choosing a career depends on your preferred play style. It is recommended to start with the easiest course to gain initial experience.

Effectively increase statistics:

After choosing a class, the next step in character development is to increase your statistics. As you level up, you receive attribute points to invest in improving your character’s statistics. However, not all statistics are required for all courses. Depending on your class and desired role, it’s best to focus on no more than three stats. For example:

  1. Swordsmen can be built into tanks by investing most of their points into VIT.
  2. By investing points in STR, DEX and AGI, the Swordsman can become a good DPS class.

If you feel you’ve made a mistake in allocating your stats, you can use a reset stone to reset your attributes, but subsequent resets will require a catnip fee.

Farming and Upgrading in Ragnarok Origin:

To level up in Ragnarok Origin, you need to gain enough experience points. You can achieve this by completing main quests and side quests or by hunting in the wild. Unlike other games, this game’s auto-combat grind is limited. Each player has 120 minutes of combat stamina, which will be consumed during combat. Once depleted, you will not receive rewards from hunts until your stamina is replenished.

MVP and mini hunts:

MVPs and mini-hunts are crucial to getting rare items. MVP and Mini are powerful boss enemies that will yield valuable loot upon defeat. Due to the difficulty of the MVP hunt, a party is required. Remember, there is a limit of 5 MVP and mini-kills per player per day. Any kills above this limit will not yield additional items or loot. You can check the spawn areas and timers for all MVPs via the events menu.

Ragnarok gameplay

Ragnarok Online is heavily influenced by Norse mythology and features characters and stories from Ragnarok. Gameplay takes place in a 3D environment, with player characters represented by 2D sprites with different appearances.

The game supports various types of server play, including player versus environment, guild versus guild, and player versus player. Other scenarios such as group vs. group, arena combat, player vs. monster, player vs. everyone, and specific instances are also available.

Players can register for missions, complete them to earn rewards, and pay to use storage and transfer services. Each town has its own shops and stores where players can buy and sell items. Each city’s offerings are tailored to the jobs relevant to that particular city. Quests often provide unique rewards, such as learning new skills or obtaining rare items.

The career system originally consisted of 13 professions, but has been expanded to over 50 professions through updates. Each class focuses on a specific skill, similar to a role-playing game prototype. Different pieces of equipment are unique to specific classes, and their effectiveness depends on the character’s attributes.

Once players reach level 99 and career level 50, they can choose to “rebirth” their character (except for expanded classes and super novices). Rebirth resets the character’s level to 1, but grants a new second class level.

The Beyond Job Class is only available to reborn characters and has more skills and extra stat points to allocate than the regular second class. Excellent job roles face a higher experience curve. Players can also choose to advance to level three, which unlocks a new set of skills and allows players to surpass the traditional level cap of 99.
