Update 1.40 patch notes

Snowwalker update 1.40 (Update 24) is available now on PS4, PS5, PC, Switch, and Xbox One. The latest patch brings exciting new features, including new DLC featuring British Columbia as a new region and additional trucks. Additionally, the update introduces the PROS system, which enables cross-saves and in-game rewards.

In its last major update, Season 9, SnowRunner received new maps, vehicles, and activities. However, players have encountered several issues since the last version. Fortunately, the newly released Snowrunner version 1.40 addresses and fixes some of these issues. For more information, continue reading below.

SnowRunner Update 1.40 Patch Notes

New content:

• [DLC] New Region, British Columbia – This region consists of 2 new maps located in Canada.

• [DLC] New Truck: Mack Defense M917Kenworth 963

• PROS system (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch) with cross-save and in-game bonuses.

PROS (Prism Ray Online Services) is a new platform that provides online services for select games from Saber Interactive, Deep Silver, PLAION, Prime Matter and other game companies. It acts as a unified player account and provides its users with a range of features and benefits (with more to come in the future):

• Cross-save and cross-progress
• Unique game rewards
• Personalized offers
• Twitch and Amazon integration

ZikZ 612H “Mastodon”:

• Fixed a bug where all items except straps disappeared from the roof rack

• Fixed offset for large trailers on ZikZ 612H “Mastodon” high saddle

• Fixed steering wheel rotation

• The “Exterior Sticker” section is no longer covered by the “Flat Cover” snorkel

• Fixed a bug where the “Seismic Vibrator Module” model intersected with the wheel model while active

• Eliminated conflict between short log plugin and trailer

• Added plugin for medium and long logs

• New transportation platform

• Added new large crane

• Cage and default bumper damage multipliers have been adjusted

• Truck lighting improved

• Fixed a bug where the Vehicle Repair Area Rules increased the repair unit cost when repairing North American trucks using Eurasian vehicles in the Americas region Fixed a bug where upgrades found on the map could not be installed if they were not sold in the Americas region The current garage contains some settings for NGP Fixed a bug where NGP mode’s “Time Setting” rules were applied to new games in “Hard Mode”

cooperative:

• Fixed a bug on PlayStation 4 where the upgrade area was still showing up after another user found and obtained the upgrade

• Fixed a bug that prevented “The Ring” races from being started in co-op local sessions on Nintendo Switch

Other changes:

• Fixed a bug where black spots appeared on the terrain

• Fixed a bug that caused visual glitches on terrain when using AMD/RDNA2

• Fixed a bug that prevented the “Resolution” item from being selected via the keyboard in the “Settings” menu when “Borderless” display mode was enabled

• Fixed a bug where returning to the main menu after accepting an invitation in the friends menu would prevent players from entering the main menu

• Fixed a bug where the Functions menu could not be closed via mouse

• Fixed a bug that showed “None” differential lock in the Truck Shop menu for all trucks with “Switchable” differential locks

• Fixed a bug that prevented players from accessing DLC, co-op mode, mod browser and game progress on EGS

• Fixed a bug on EGS where players were unable to access their save data during certain times of the day (only the “New Game” option was available)

• Fixed a bug where the “AWD” indicator disappeared without animation after stopping holding “Switch Camera /” [HOLD] Show HUD key in immersive mode when HUD is disabled

• Fixed a bug where the Mysterious Monolith contest could not be accepted – the message “You can only accept this contest between 00:00 and 08:00” would appear even though the time on Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 was correct

• Fixed a bug where performance would occasionally drop by 1 second when driving fast in mud on Nintendo Switch Localization fix

Mod Editor:

• Fixed a bug where custom model textures were missing in the game

• Fixed a bug where the Change Region option was not showing up in the Regional Settings menu when creating a single map

• CAS (Central Asia) zone has been added to ZoneSettingsEditor

“SnowRunner” is an off-road simulation game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. The game was originally released as MudRunner 2 in August 2018 and later resurfaced as SnowRunner. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 28, 2020, followed by a Nintendo Switch port on May 18, 2021. It releases on May 31, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Throughout the journey, players may also encounter optional limited-time missions, and completing them faster will result in greater rewards.
