To recruit Ashton in Star Ocean: Second Story R, follow these steps:
- Arriving at Harley: Ashton can be recruited upon arriving at Harley City.
- Talk to the men at the entrance: Once you reach Harley, talk to the two men at the entrance. They will mention the dragon hunt that took place in Salva. This is your prompt to investigate further.
- Visit Salva: Head to Salva and make sure to save, heal, and stock up on items. The town was swarming with militants, a sign that something big was going on.
- Explore the Mines: Venture into the mines located to the left of the general mining area (past the warning sign). Be prepared for challenging enemies as they can put up fierce battles.
