Starfield Makes Xbox Game Pass
After a week in Early Access, the core Starfield game will be available to all Game Pass subscribers on September 6th. Still, there’s the option to get the base game as part of a subscription, allowing early access via Game Pass.
By opting for the premium version of Starfield, players can get a week of early access for around $35, which is a sizable savings compared to the $70 full price or $100 for the premium version.
However, it’s important to note that if your Game Pass subscription expires and isn’t renewed, you’ll need to purchase the game at its standard Xbox platform price, making the $35 investment meaningless without Game Pass.
For Game Pass subscribers, there’s nothing to worry about. Since Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, Starfield will likely continue to be available on Game Pass indefinitely, avoiding the usual issues with other third-party games leaving the service.

Starfield is an action role-playing video game that allows players to freely switch between first-person and third-person perspectives. It is set in a vast open world within the galaxy, featuring fictional and real planetary systems, with over 1,000 planets, moons and space stations to explore.
The game generates different terrains, alien life, and flora based on stellar and atmospheric conditions. Of note is the magnificent fictional city of New Atlantis.
