Max, also known as HBO Max outside the United States, is a popular subscription video on demand (SVOD) streaming service in the United States. It is owned by WarnerMedia Direct, LLC, a division of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming and Interactive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).

The service originally launched in the United States on May 27, 2020 as HBO Max, offering a wide range of content from different brands and networks, including Warner Bros., Discovery Channel, HBO, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Animal Planet, Europe Sports and more.

It features library content and original programming under the “Max Originals” banner, as well as content acquired through third-party deals and co-production agreements.

As of June 30, 2021, HBO and HBO Max had a combined 69.4 million paying subscribers worldwide. This includes 43.5 million U.S. HBO Max subscribers, 3.5 million U.S. HBO pure subscribers, and 20.5 million HBO Max or HBO subscribers in other countries. As of the end of 2021, HBO and HBO Max had a total of 73.8 million global subscribers. As of the first quarter of 2022, the number of global subscribers has further increased to 76.8 million.

What will be leaving Max in July 2023?

Following its recent rebrand, Max will make some changes to its product lineup in July 2023. With Discovery added to its catalog, subscribers can look forward to the highly anticipated Shark Week programming.

In addition, Max Original programs such as Steven Soderbergh’s limited series “Full Circle” and the final season of the documentary comedy series “How to With John Wilson” are also scheduled to be released. While there’s a lot of exciting new content coming to Max, there are also a lot of games that are leaving the streaming service.

According to information currently released by Max, films planned for release in July include the 2021 adult musical “Dear Evan Hansen”, the 2001 psychological thriller “Donnie Darko”, Steven Pierberg’s 2002 film “Catch Me If You Can” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as several classic James Bond films. However, it is important to note that this list may not be comprehensive and may change based on Max.

As a subscriber, it is recommended to take note of the above titles and keep an eye out for any updates or additions to the list. Marks warned that more content may be leaving the service in addition to what’s already available. What are the new features of Max in July 2023?

In terms of exciting entertainment content this month, there are two staples in the superhero genre. My Adventures of Superman will air on Max on July 7, having premiered on Adult Swim the night before. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the long-awaited debut of Harley Quinn Season 4, which will finally hit theaters on July 27.
